Biography
Mr. MANG Sohan is a Cambodian judge, legal scholar, and law lecturer with extensive experience in criminal and civil justice, legal research, court advocacy, and comparative law. He serves as a Judge at the Stung Treng Provincial Court of First Instance, where his judicial work covers criminal, civil, commercial, and labor matters, including both adjudication and criminal investigation.
Alongside his judicial career, Mr. Sohan is an Adjunct Lecturer in Law and has taught Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Civil Law, Civil Procedure, and court advocacy. He has also been involved in legal research, academic supervision, professional training, and international judicial and legal-development programs.
Before joining the judiciary, he served in the Legal and Consular Department of Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. His international experience includes serving as a visiting judge in the United States, participating in WIPO intellectual-property programs, undertaking academic research at Osaka University, and engaging in professional and academic activities across Asia and other regions.
