Biography

EAKNGUON CHEA is a Cambodian attorney-at-law, senior legal adviser, and public-sector legal professional with experience in corporate and commercial law, contracts, real estate, labor law, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation.

He currently serves as a member of the Council of Jurists of the Council of Ministers and works as an Attorney-at-Law and Senior Legal Advisor. His professional background also includes legal practice at Cambodian law firms and earlier experience with the Civil Party Lead Co-Lawyers Section of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC).

Mr. EAKNGUON holds a Master of Public Management from KDI School of Public Policy and Management in the Republic of Korea. He also holds a Bachelor of Law from the English Language Based Bachelor of Law Program at the Royal University of Law and Economics and a Bachelor of Education in English from the Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh. He participated in the YSEALI Professional Fellowship Program in the United States in 2017.
