NUM International Program of Legal Studies (NUM iLAW), through the NUM Moot Court Committee, is pleased to open applications for students interested in joining the NUM iLAW IBA International Criminal Court Moot Court Team for the 2026–2027 competition year.
The International Bar Association International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (IBA ICCMCC) is an international moot court competition focused on international criminal law and proceedings before the International Criminal Court (ICC). The Competition provides students with an opportunity to strengthen their skills in legal research, case analysis, written advocacy, teamwork, and oral pleading while developing a deeper understanding of the Rome Statute and international criminal law.
The 2027 International Rounds will take place from 4–11 June 2027 in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Students may apply under one of two categories:
- Mooter – Oralist: For students interested in oral advocacy, presenting legal arguments, responding to questions from judges, and developing courtroom pleading skills.
- Mooter – Researcher: For students interested in legal research, international criminal law, case analysis, memorial preparation, and supporting the team’s arguments and strategy.
Selection Process

Applicants should indicate their preferred category in the application form. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted directly for an interview, and successful applicants will receive an admission offer to join the NUM iLAW IBA ICC Moot Court Team.

Participation requires commitment to regular team meetings, legal research, memorial drafting, oral advocacy practice, and other competition preparations throughout the IBA ICC Moot season.
