NUM International Program of Legal Studies (NUM iLAW), through the NUM Moot Court Committee, is pleased to open applications for students interested in joining the NUM iLAW Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team for the 2026–2027 competition year.
The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot provides students with an opportunity to develop practical skills in legal research, case analysis, written submissions, teamwork, and oral advocacy, while engaging with international commercial law and arbitration.
Students may apply under one of two categories:
- Mooter – Oralist: for students interested in oral advocacy, presenting legal arguments, and responding to questions during pleadings.
- Mooter – Researcher: for students interested in legal research, case analysis, written preparation, and supporting the team’s arguments and strategy.
Selection Process
Application → Shortlisting → Interview → Admission Offer
Applicants should indicate their preferred category in the application form. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted directly for an interview, and successful applicants will receive an admission offer to join the NUM iLAW Vis Moot Team.

Participation requires commitment to regular team meetings, legal research, drafting, advocacy practice, and other competition preparations throughout the Vis Moot season.
