NUM International Program of Legal Studies (NUM iLAW) extends our sincere appreciation to H.E. HUN Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Civil Service, for their generous support of the NUM iLAW team representing the National University of Management and Cambodia at the 21st LAWASIA International Moot Competition 2026 – International Rounds.
The International Rounds are being held from 13–16 September 2026 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, bringing together law students from across the region to demonstrate their skills in legal research, written advocacy, oral argument, and international dispute resolution.
The LAWASIA International Moot Competition is one of the long-standing international mooting platforms in the Asia-Pacific region. Over the years, more than 1,500 students from approximately 60 law schools across 30 jurisdictions have participated in the competition.
The 2026 Moot Problem focuses particularly on international commercial arbitration, dispute resolution, and contract law, involving a commercial dispute concerning the use of artificial intelligence and holographic technology in a live entertainment performance. The case raises issues relating to the appropriate forum for dispute resolution, security for costs, contractual obligations and breach, and counterclaims before an arbitral tribunal.
Through the competition, students are challenged to apply international commercial law and arbitration principles to contemporary legal and technological issues while strengthening their legal research, analytical reasoning, written submissions, and oral advocacy skills.
NUM iLAW is deeply grateful to H.E. Deputy Prime Minister HUN Many for supporting our students and making their participation in this important international academic competition possible. Such support provides Cambodian students with valuable opportunities to strengthen their legal knowledge, advocacy skills, international exposure, and professional networks while proudly representing Cambodia abroad.
On behalf of the National University of Management, NUM iLAW once again expresses our sincere appreciation and gratitude to H.E. Deputy Prime Minister HUN Many his continued encouragement and support of Cambodian youth and higher education.
We wish our team continued success in the competition and look forward to seeing them proudly carry the Cambodian flag on the international stage.
